Our “Purple Hippo” has one of the most unique flavors there is. Prickly Pear fruit has a watermelon/bubble-gum flavor that pairs very well with spicy peppers.

This sauce is groovy, but will make you trip with a Habanero and Scorpion pepper bite. Enjoy the high – the endorphin high that is.

Try “Purple Hippo” on poultry, pork, eggs, pasta, pizza, or in mixed drinks.

Crazy Good Sauce

Purple hippo slaps. I put this stuff on pizza and sausages and I sometimes mix a little into black beans or vodka penne. I'm Sri Lankan, we know how to handle our spicy food and require both good heat and uncompromising full-bodied flavor. This is the only hot sauce I've found in the States that actually delivers on both!

Purple Hippo is my husband's favorite

My husband is a hot sauce connoisseur and his favorite hot sauce is Purple Hippo. He enjoys it for it's unique fruity flavor and eats it on everything. I bought it for him on a whim a few years ago because I was intrigued to find a sauce that used prickly pear as an ingredient and we have reorder bottles many times now. If you can use a hot sauce with heat on par Cholula sauce you will very much enjoy Purple Hippo Hot Sauce.

Was given Purple Hippo Hot Sauce as gift years ago and now I am hooked. My favorite hot sauce brand. A rare combination of flavor and heat. Great company and product. Something for everyone from a heat level. Highly recommend

Epic but... Not the same?

Now I love AGP. I was first introduced to it when I worked at the Shipyard brewing company tap room.
We sold your sauces.
I loved Prickly Pear.
5 years later I order a few bottles and I noticed 2 things.
1) The Scovie winner sticker was gone
2) It tasted way more like strawberry than pear.
Did you guys change up the recipe? It still good but totally more strawberry than pear.
No worries...I'm still a loyal lover
